September’s Newsletter

The month of September has already flown by…

The first days of class are already far away. In all our classes, the school year has been settling in. The big and small children are gradually taking up their habits in the classrooms, in their schedules and in their learning. For their part, the entire teaching team is getting on to organize in the dedicated spaces, within the allotted time, the educational activities in order to respond as closely as possible to the needs of the children and to the parents expectations.

First of all, I would like to welcome the new families who have joined our association. The Centre Actif Bilingue multiplies cultural and linguistic origins, thus enriching the knowledge and skills of our students. Large and small projects will be launched this year: First of all, we are impatiently looking forward to the neighbor’s progress regarding construction work in order to offer our pupils a renovated playground, in accordance with the forest which is close to us. For this reason, this school year will be marked by Nature and recycling. With the children, we will invent ways to recycle to avoid wastage.

Work has already begun in some kindergarten classes and we hope for Charlotte Lambert’s regular visits, a bilingual specialist in the field, who is bursting with ideas to develop alongside and with the children.

In elementary school, the continuation of multi-level classes and the alignment of French and English disciplines through the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL), will provide an opportunity for the entire team to work and reflect in a way that will best meet the needs of each student.

In a more material field but just as important for the children, and with your participation that we hope active and motivated, “Saturday Coffee fix up” will be an opportunity to renovate some dedicated areas. We are looking forward to seeing you in a warm atmosphere of handiwork of all kinds. The next Saturday Coffee fix up will take place on October 5th and November 23rd from 10.00 to noon. A registration board is available at the school entrance.

As our association suggests, every goodwill is welcomed. Your participation in the Saturday Coffee fix up, the Holiday Committee (PTA), the Board of Directors, or the Communication Committee will be very useful. The General Assembly is scheduled on Tuesday November 5 at 8 pm.

On behalf of the entire team, I wish you all, children and parents, a wonderful school year. Rest assured that we will work hard day after day to build with our students a year of progress and success.
