Dear parents,
This very special school year ended this Friday.
Certainly, it left everyone feeling unfinished. In spite of ourselves, we were deprived of our carnival, our outings and end-of-year shows but also of some of our teachers!
But this year has nevertheless allowed the realization of several festive events such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas around the world …. Some classes were able to go out and learn in museums, at theaters or by meeting professionals in connection with their class projects.
This difficult period did not allow the usual “goodbyes”, so I wanted to send you this email to wish you a very nice summer and to thank you, parents, for your support during this unprecedented year.
The teaching team would be nothing without your children, their constant curiosity and their taste for learning.
The management of this school would be nothing without the support of parents who involved in the running of our school: the Saturday morning tinkerers, the little hands in the library, the relay of messages on our site and by e-mail, the festive events organisers , the dressmakers, the lock fitters, the yard cleaners…all these people have counted neither their time nor their energy to give and then give new life to this school for the well-being of our children!
I would also like to express my thanks to the members of the Board of Directors, and more particularly to the 3 members of the Bureau, who were present 7 days a week at the height of the crisis.
Finally, thank you for your emails and letters of encouragement and support.
As every year, some children are leaving the CAB for good and it is with a heavy heart that I wish them the best in their school career. May they know that they will always be welcome at the CAB to give us their news or simply to breathe some air from their early childhood.
The CAB remains open this first week of school holidays and offers language courses (English and computer science). It will re-open one week before the start of the school year for the August courses as well. (there are still a few places available!)
I’m now sending out the invitations for a DIY Friday Evening! To all parents frustrated by not having been able to participate, to those who want to get a head start or simply to the DIY enthusiasts … See you on Friday 21 August from 18.00 to 20.00 ! An email will be sent to you during the summer. Don’t hesitate to send me an email if you plan to be there.
The school year 2020/2021 is in preparation, as well as all the extracurricular activities, workshops on Wednesdays and holiday courses for which an email will be sent to you very soon.
I wish you all a very nice summer and see your children on Monday 31st August 2021, for our pre-entry.
